Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Manama, as Iran launched strikes across the region in retaliation for a large-scale and continuing offensive targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.

In Israel, sirens were heard nationwide after the Israel Defense Forces stated it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.

The Ministry of Defence of the UAE said in a statement that the country has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"UAE air defence systems engaged the projectiles with notable success and shot down a number of missiles," it added.

Officials reported wreckage fell on a populated district in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some material damage and killing a civilian.

The United States Air Force is stationed at the Al Dhafra base, to the south of Abu Dhabi, along with the UAE Air Force.
