Fighters smirk as they travel on the rear of a utility vehicle, hurrying by a line of several corpses and moving in the direction of the descending Sudan's sunset.

"See all this work. Look at this instance of ethnic cleansing," a fighter exclaims.

The fighter beams as he directs the camera on his person and his fellow militiamen, their Rapid Support Forces identification on display: "These people are all going to perish this way."

The combatants are exulting in a massacre that humanitarian officials fear killed more than two thousand individuals in the Sudanese metropolis of the Darfur city last month.

A City Severed from the Globe

Having held the urban area under encirclement for approximately an extended period, from the summer the militia moved to strengthen its position and restrict the remaining inhabitants.

Space-based imagery show that fighters commenced to build a massive earth barrier - a raised sand barrier - surrounding the edges of al-Fashir, closing roads and preventing relief supplies.

As the siege worsened, 78 people were slain in an RSF strike on a mosque on 19 September, while the United Nations stated fifty-three additional were killed in aerial and artillery strikes on a displacement camp in the autumn.

Disturbing Recording Shows Defenseless People Executed

At dawn on 26 October the RSF defeated the remaining military strongholds and seized the primary compound in the urban area, the command center of the Army Division, as the army pulled back.

One of the most horrific footage to emerge and studied showed the consequences of a mass killing at a university building on the western side of the urban area, where scores lifeless forms were seen scattered across the floor.

An elderly man wearing a traditional garment sat isolated amid the victims. Regardless of the digital initiative being employed by the militia, their activities in al-Fashir have generated international outrage.
