The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Fighters Party

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a colorful mix of personalities, and a gripping narrative showcasing divine entities, evil spirits, and malevolent powers growing in strength within the city.

Note: Key plot points for Episode 3 of this adventure follow below.

The Warrior Group Revealed

The latest chapter ended with a dramatic pause and introduced the premier party of heroes who will separate from the central cast to begin their separate journey, separate from the additional parties.

This warrior group includes the determined fighter (portrayed by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

With 13 cast members, it was clear from the start that maintaining everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.

Hence, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, weaving together the individual narratives before dividing into three smaller tables: Warriors, Planners, and Explorers.

Characteristics of the Combat Party

Per the DM, the Soldiers table is for players who prefer a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven narrative style where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

At first glance, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander might seem mismatched, but the developments of episode 3 make it clear why these five characters are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Motivations for Departure

First, the group has a clear idea where to head next after a intense opening clash with the enemy group.

An old friend of the deceased character—whose death kicked off the story’s plot—exploited the foes for his selfish purposes, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the character, and taking all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

Casimir then paid off his obligations and fled to a secure base in the northern region, north of Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Character Drivers

Additionally, each member has a personal reason to leave the city Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and closest confidant, desires retribution.
  • The knowledgeable figure has experience in Timmony and warns that it is a nasty environment.
  • The strong character and Wicander, having defied his family’s wishes to execute Teor and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
  • But, their position as important members in the powerful family could help the party access locations they normally couldn’t.
  • Additionally, Teor vowed a eternal obligation to The cleric for his salvation and will now follow him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are hunted by the rulers that govern the setting for a range of causes, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • The rogue and The character are known criminals.
  • The strong figure and The healer turned against the powerful family and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
  • Teor is wanted dead by the clan.

This results in them few options but to travel to the remote area in quest for Casimir.

Future Episodes

According to the recent installment’s post-show segment, we find out that the combat party won’t be around the following episode, leaving the rest of the cast members to round up the Explorers and Schemers groups.

Viewers can anticipate learning which adventurers will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, released on October 24.
